Joe and I recently took a trip up north for our good friend Steph's wedding. But before the wedding we were able to spend a couple days in Manhattan. We did a ton in two short days! There are no photos of our front row (the most amazing seats!) seats at Letterman. No cameras allowed...boo!!
Mint Chocolate Chip while watching Paul McCartney outside...
Crowd for Paul.
There he is in the pink shirt. He played on Letterman's roof for quite a long time...
Outside our hotel, heading to Broadway show, Wicked. (amazing show!)
Wicked set. See Emerald City?!
My handsome husband.
Joe can find a celebrity anywhere. Look closely. I am taking a photo of Joe with Ivanka Trump in the background. Her hair is back and she's in that small cluster of people. She didn't even have hair and makeup done that night. BRAVO!
After I took Joe's photo, some nice woman offered to take our picture. She didn't know we were trying to zoom on Ivanka! So funny!!
Red skirt, off white sweater, messy ponytail. Ivanka. Why is she following us???
Times Square at night. It was energy-- in every sense.
Wish we had more time to see more shows...
Me and Al. He wasn't the nicest. If you can't tell, he wasn't super excited about this photo. :)
Now this man is genuine and kind. Really nice to the crowd.
Carnegie Deli. Packed 24/7.
And it was the biggest sandwich I had ever seen. Tasty though!
Serendipity. Yummmm....
Frozzzzzen hot chocolate. So good.
Joe out front of the nine (yes, nine) story Macy's. It just kept going and going and going.
Inside Macy's. Love that.
We stayed at Sofitel and I am writing this because it was fabulous. The hotel is centrally located and offers the best service I have ever received from any establishment! They upgraded us for free on arrival, sent up free cheesecake, took care of the room twice per day and we were greeted by about eight people every time we walked through the hotel. a.maz.ing. loved it.
I ate them at every possible opportunity.
The dolls have their own spa and salon to get their hair done and get cleaned up.
It was crazy. Only in NYC. Reese and I will go there someday for sure.

(even if it is located next to the porn store).
No seating. And a recession special! Good stuff. Joe loves it...
Driving to Philly-- bye NYC. By the way, this was one of the scariest drives ever. If you are not used to driving through Manhattan, don't drive through Manhattan. I kept my eyes closed while Joe drove. It makes Boston drivers look very sweet and kind.
My goal is to have the Philly/Wedding photos up by tomorrow. :)

I miss Broadway. I NEED to know every detail of the Wicked experience. I've seen it 3 times, and every time it's amazing and a little different. Maddie and I will be seeing Hair next month. She promised to close her eyes during the naked part :)
I can taste the frozen hot chocolate now. They also have the best Portabello burgers.
Glad you guys had such a blast.

Love your pictures from New York! You guys looked super at Wicked. Would love to see it, or any Broadway show, one day. We saw you on the Today Show but not on Letterman. And you are right, Joe does have "celebrity radar"! Glad you two enjoyed yourselves. Love,
MOM
