Celebrated the fourth at home, in our own backyard. In Florida you can buy BIG fireworks and Joe always has fun setting them off. The kids loved it. I do force them to sit in the screened in lanai where I know the flying fire can't land on them. You should see the top of my lanai when it's all done... it's covered with the stuff! YIKES! And this year's show lasted over an hour....
Reese was very excited. Had no nap and still was jumping in her chair!
Aunt Heidi also prefers the safety of the lanai. :)
You can see two things. Joe is sooo excited. And the smoke is creating a haze (the heat and humidy made the smoke from the fireworks linger).
I can't watch when he lights them. ughhh....
Noah loved it. "That was a big one!" he said.
Reese looked for "pink ones" and would announce each time she saw one.
Hooray!!

The fireworks are "way up high!"
Each time one went up, they would raise their flags. So cute!

And when Noah had had enough, he simply went inside. And that was it. Well, for everyone except Joe. He stayed outside with everyone else and played with fire. :)

Fun!! They sure are getting big! I definitely see the excitement Joe has for fireworks!
They look so thrilled! I can just about imagine the terror I'd feel if Dan and Derek got to shoot off fireworks here, yikes!
We watched from your parents yard and I got to see one of your Dad's baby skunks :) Your Mom looks great btw.
