my social butterfly?

Today was a great day for Reese. She went to play group this morning and actually enjoyed seeing her friends and socializing. She was only scared for about five minutes and believe it or not didn't want to leave when we left. I was shocked. And then I took Noah to the doctor (and yes, he still has an ear infection... grrrrr.) and Reese came with us. Reese ran up to the nurse and gave her the biggest hug. Ok, who are you and what have you done with my Reese?

Noah had his first session with Ms. Cheri today (his fabulous OT that has been on maternity leave). He was soooo excited to see her. He told me where to drive to get there (typically he wants to go on a big, big, big car ride and get's upset when we stop). Today he was thrilled to go and gave Ms. Cheri a big hug. It was truly heartwarming. It so rare to find someone that cares about your children, impacts their lives and just really wants to help the kids with challenges. It's easy to go to school and get the degree and even have tons of experience-- but that, to me, doesn't define an extraordinary therapist. Not at all. We have had some that had the education, the experience and the ideas... but just didn't care. It is a deep-down, honest, raw, gut-feeling and I trust that. I don't let Noah see those therapists anymore. Although the Cheri's of the world are hard to find, we are fortunate to have found at least one.
