Making a Difference.

This is a topic that is very close to my heart. Inclusion in the classroom. Most don't know what it's like to have a child that is not allowed in a typical classroom because s/he is different. It wasn't until this year that I realized (thank you Heidi)-- you don't have to be able to color in the lines or cut with scissors to graduate high school!! Noah can hold his own in a mainstreamed classroom. But every child deserves the chance to be educated with his or her peers. No segregation. And social interaction is such an important part of growing up!

How about instead of putting all kids with disabilities in a segregated room, we place them with their peers. I believe all of these kids have something to learn from one another.

If you live in Pinellas County in Florida please sign this petition and then pass it on to your friends and family to sign. If you live anywhere else... please read it and encourage these changes to take place in your county.

I agree. Learn from our differences. We all live together in the same world.
