I won't lie. It was tough. Like a part of me was getting packed into a stranger's car to go who knows where. But it had to be done. We haven't used the rocker/glider in Reese's room in months. It takes up space (where her very important babies could reside!) and it's true-- here in florida, there are no basements. So i could try to fit in the fern colored cushions and white wood into the decor (thought about it--but knew the country-cottageness of it all would not be good) or i could let it go.
If there has been one thing i've learned since leaving Ohio it's to "let it go." My neighbor said the first week "why are you holding on to that? we just store everything at Target." My first thought was, "oh they have storage units at Target in Florida?" Nah. He gets rid of it and if he finds later that he really needs it, he buys it at Target. What a great idea! So that's how I gauge everything that i want to store in my garage. I have bins of sentimental kids things, but I had to let go of the rocker. Surprisingly, I am okay with it.
Now, onto picking out big-girl bedroom furniture!

I love your new little blurb on the side, under the kids pic. :)
Max is just getting into the whole rocking thing, so we dug ours back out. There's nothing like rocking with your baby.

Nicole, if there was any way I could have brought that back to Ohio, I would have. I spent hours rocking Noah in that chair. :( I am not good at letting go of stuff either, but sometimes we do have to.
